The logic behind DANE:
2 parties with decoder keys sending coded messages to each other:

When a hacker in the middle says "I don't have a decoder key, send it un-encoded."
DANE:
Both parties "know" the other has a decoder key.
So there must be a man in the middle and the message is not to be trusted.
No trust required = trustless
